Questions

Is there a free tier?

Every new organization starts on the free Starter plan automatically, no card required. It's sized for building your integration, running a test suite, and a short pilot on real data — enough to get to a confident yes, not to run a business on indefinitely. Once you're evaluating real timesheets in production you'll move to a paid plan.

What counts as an "evaluation"?

One staff timesheet evaluated against your rules — not one API call. A single call can batch many staff (a whole payroll run in one request), and each staff dataset in it counts once. So a 40-person team checked weekly is about 170 evaluations a month, however you batch the calls. A production employer checking weekly lands in the tens of thousands; a platform evaluating many employers, or every shift in real time, runs into the hundreds of thousands.

One POST to /v1/evaluate/ carrying 40 staff timesheets counts as 40 evaluations, not one and not per call

The per-minute number on each plan is a separate thing — a rate limit on HTTP requests, so one integration can't overwhelm the API. Both are guide figures today, not a hard meter.

Do you have a complete time and scheduling product?

Yes: TockLogic is the full workforce app built on this same overtime engine, with scheduling, time tracking, leave, rates, invoices and reports, and web and mobile apps. Use RuleVerdict when you only want the calculation inside your own product.

What happens when I outgrow a plan?

Switch plans any time from your dashboard's billing page — your organization's rules, rule editor history, and published versions carry over unchanged. Plans differ in evaluation volume, API rate limit, and support — not in which engine features you can use.
